Ashden invites you to join entrepreneurs, social innovators and funders in Oxford this April to explore the future of inclusive climate solutions.

Businesses and organisations rooted in local communities are widening access to clean energy, safeguarding nature and addressing a host of climate and development challenges. So how can smarter funding, finance and collaboration boost their growth and impact?

In a unique historic setting, Ashden will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and sector experts to share insights and experiences. This informal event will feature short interviews with inspiring climate innovators, followed by networking. And we’ll share how Ashden – a climate solutions charity working in this area for 25 years – supports solutions through its awards and programmes.

Join us to hear from groundbreaking organisations such as Nigeria’s BuraSolutions – training a new generation of solar technicians – and SELCO Foundation, helping families across India earn a better living with clean energy technology. We’ll also welcome Proximity Designs, a social business creating impact in Myanmar for more than 20 years.

Our host will be Ajaita Shah. As founder and CEO of Frontier Markets, she has empowered over 30,000 women to launch their own digitally enabled business to reach 1 million rural families providing them access to 100 million climate friendly solutions in rural India. Ajaita says: “We can’t scale up climate solutions without learning from innovators themselves. I’m looking forward to a great evening in a wonderful setting, sharing insights with fellow entrepreneurs and inviting others passionate about creating impact to join a Global South vision for scale.”
