Join climate change charity Ashden for the launch of their new policy briefing that sets out how UK local authorities can collaborate with communities in order to create more inclusive and impactful climate action.
At this session, we’ll discuss examples of best practice when it comes to councils empowering grassroots groups to drive action against the climate crisis, and offer up tips and recommendations for both local and central governments to enable a thriving civic sector to build a just transition.
We’ll also hear directly from councils that are innovating to foster better collaboration between councils and communities, including:
- Nadia Khan, London Borough of Brent – Partnering with faith climate action groups
- Hazel Scurr, Northumberland County Council – Building a network of community climate champions
This session is free to attend and will take place online via MS Teams. You can register here.
