This Autumn, Ashden invites you to join a guided tour of Liverpool City Council’s Urban Green Up Programme. This multi-award winning initiative has grown resilience to flooding and heatwaves, raised air quality, and boosted biodiversity. It’s also engaged and connected the city’s communities – with faith groups empowered to play a leading role.
On the tour you will see pioneering work in a range of different locations, and talk to those who have made it happen. Expect insights on the programme’s social and climate impact, as well as how it was funded, planned and delivered. The ideas behind Urban Green Up can be applied in towns and cities across the UK, and our tour will help you bring its benefits to more communities.
Your fellow guests will include policymakers, funders, and expert council officers.
