Duration: 1 hour
The next in a series of Zero Carbon Britain-themed interactive webinars organised by the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) and Ashden. These feature speakers with practical experience of implementing projects at local council/community level with proven potential for widespread roll out; supporting the economic recovery from COVID-19, getting us closer to net zero and increasing our resilience as a society.
This webinar is focussing on community wealth building, featuring Councillor Zoe Nicholson, Deputy Leader of Lewes District Council, sharing her experience of weaving the climate emergency into thinking about community wealth building, alongside John Heneghan, Associate Director of the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES), sharing experience of instigating community wealth building approaches with local authorities in Wales.
The format of these webinars allow you not only to hear and ask about the challenges which have been overcome, the potential for jobs creation and co-benefits, but to consider and discuss with other participants what needs to happen to replicate these projects elsewhere.
