Join Our Network

We want change. We want you.

Our network reaches across sectors and around the world, connecting those with the skills, tools and ambition to take on the climate emergency.

Partnering with Ashden unlocks unique opportunities, and helps organisations of every kind power up their positive climate impact.

At the heart of our network are winners and finalists in the Ashden Awards, our annual search for frontline climate solutions in the UK and developing world. In the UK, we also work particularly closely with cities and towns, while our LESS CO2 programme connects hundreds of schools.

Simply linking these organisations with each other – through masterclasses, informal conversations and peer learning – sparks powerful collaboration and inspiration. But we don’t stop there.

We connect the grassroots with policymakers, investors, funders, customers, journalists, NGOs and others. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve moved swiftly to take our activities online, embracing opportunities to become even more inclusive.

There are a wealth of ways to join our network – including taking part in online events, collaborating on exciting projects and campaigns, or funding our work.

We are particularly keen to reach beyond the climate sector and its traditional allies – because the climate emergency demands systemic change in every corner of society.

Joining our network brings you deep insights and access to the most exciting new climate solutions.

Our network in action

Since summer 2019, Ashden has:

  • Helped frontline climate organisations endure the coronavirus pandemic – giving them a platform to share insights, call for support and join global initiatives on the issue. Worked with UK NGOs and local government organisations to publish a blueprint for a place-based green recovery, with asks for the UK government.
  • Connected climate innovators with financers through tailored ‘investor pitching’
    opportunities.
  • Brought together policymakers and communities in North of Tyne, trialling new ways to help the UK’s regions win public support for a low-carbon future.
  • Joined UK students, NGOs and others in the youth-led ‘Teach the Future’ campaign – calling for climate on the curriculum and greener school buildings.
  • Helped the energy access sector learn from our original research on gender and empowerment, with debates and discussions in Nairobi and London.
  • Given hundreds of local authority officers and elected officials the tools and inspiration to tackle the climate emergency.
