We back outstanding organisations and initiatives because on-the-ground solutions will drive the system changes our planet needs. We understand that the best climate solutions deliver enormous benefits today – benefits such as better health, higher incomes and more equal societies.
We’re all about networks. We help organisations learn and share ideas through masterclasses and workshops, and bring them closer to their key audiences – from local authorities in the UK to investors in energy access. Climate champions are worth shouting about. So we share their stories in the media and on film, and showcase them through events and reports.
For two decades the Ashden Awards have accelerated the most exciting climate innovators. We find our winners through a rigorous global search, then work with them to scale up their impact and inspire others. Their insights power everything we do.
Ashden’s work in the Global South is shaped by our strategic focus on jobs, skills and livelihoods. The organisations we support are creating higher incomes in threatened and vulnerable groups, breaking down barriers between training and employment, and laying the foundations for inclusive low-carbon economies.
We help towns and communities access the support, knowledge, funding and connections they need to ensure the benefits of the best climate innovations are reaching the most marginalised groups and communities.
