These daily live sessions, run by Ashden, are part of the Youth Climate Summit 2020, where the Let’s Go Zero campaign is officially launching to teachers, students and schools across the UK.
Ashden’s School Programme Manager, Alex Green, will introduce the new Let’s Go Zero campaign that schools are signing up to as they pledge publicly to become zero carbon by 2030.
Alex will be joined each day by a special guest who will share their experiences of taking climate action in their own school. They’ll talk about why climate action is so important in schools, how schools can make a stand to be part of the solution climate change and how schools can sign up and get involved.
Each session will end with a live Q&A.
Monday 9 November, 4pm – Nature, Water and Oceans
- Talk with Ann-Marie Hopkins from Pirbright Primary School in Surrey.
Tuesday 10 November, 4pm – Travel, Pollution and Waste
- Talks with Mark Scott (Global Schools Lead), Sohana Qureshi (Headteacher ) and Charlie Sanders (Eco Projects Lead) from Greenleaf Primary in Walthamstow.
Wednesday 11 November, 4pm – Food, Farming and Forests
- Talk with Henry Greenwood, former maths teacher and Head of the Green Schools Project.
Thursday 12 November, 4pm – Fashion and Consumption
- Talk with Edd Moore from Damers First School in Dorchester.
