On 8th October Ashden and the Centre for Alternative Technologies held the third in our series of Green Recovery, Zero Carbon Britain themed interactive webinars. These feature speakers with practical experience of implementing projects at local council/community level with proven potential for widespread roll-out, supporting the economic recovery from COVID-19, getting us closer to net zero and increasing our resilience as a society.
The third webinar focused on warm homes, and how providing insulation, efficient heating and renewable technologies can also address health issues and create green jobs. It featured Ross Armstrong, Managing Director of Warmworks who deliver Scotland’s flagship fuel poverty scheme (video here) and Eamon Rooke, Energy Advice Manager at SHINE, a fuel poverty referral network in London that won an Ashden Award in 2015 (explainer video here).
