Global Goals week is here, running alongside Climate Week in NYC and bringing together individuals, governments, businesses, international organisations, civil society, and other partners for the UN General Assembly to discuss progress made on the Sustainable Development Goals and to cultivate new ideas, solutions and partnerships.

We look to our own network of Award winners and see just how diverse they are. At Ashden, we are committed to tackling SDG 7: To ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. While our winners not only strive to tackle this issue, their work also cuts across many of the other goals as well.

Explore just some of the Global Goals supported by our fantastic group of 2017 Award winners:

Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

Big Birmingham Bikes and Hangzhou Bicycle Service are improving health by reducing air pollution and are promoting a healthier lifestyle for people in cities. By integrating this method of transportation into city infrastructure, we can also hope to tackle Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities (see below).
